....."To date, Eddie Haines has built two Hemi engines for me. First, a complete 2007 cross ram, aluminum headed, streetable drag engine and second, a complete rebuild of a 1969 Hemi engine that once belonged to Don Garlits himself. Eddie did a magnificent job on both of my engines and I am extremely happy with the work that he has done for me. I find Eddie to be very, very meticulous and pays attention to detail and correctness no matter how small. I find him to be very honest and straight forward, as well as willing to help in any way possible. His knowledge of Hemi engines is nothing short of outstanding and coupled with his desire for perfection can only result in an excellent Hemi engine. I will be going back to Eddie shortly for a rebuild on a highly prized 1966 all numbers matching Hemi Charger. I know and trust Eddie to do the very best job possible. I highly recommend Eddie Haines.".....

...." I have known Eddie Haines for several years and have personally observed his overall attention to detail and meticulous attention to Hemi and other engine assemblies. Eddie throughly researches his customers' requests and consistently delivers performances and quality. This is true of his restoration or muscle build up of a 426 style Hemi. Further, he applies the same dedication and "know-how" to hot rod a first generation style Hemi whether it's a 241- 392"....

...."We bought a 426 Hemi, built by Eddie for our 69 Road Runner. He is the most Professional, "stick to the word" person, I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with!! After purchasing the engine, we have overwhelmed him with questions. He is always quick to answer and takes the time necessary to be sure you understand what he is saying. We will be purchasing another Hemi from him in the future for our 65 Plymouth....

...."When I first met Eddie years ago, I stopped by because I was watching him restore a '69 GTX. The job he did on the whole car was nothing less than astonishing. Perfectly straight body work. Perfect paint, but all of that was nothing compared to his engine work. I started coming around to see him on a daily basis to observe him being a very focused person. When he builds these Hemi engines he is nothing short of a perfectionist. The way he measures all the components for proper fit, over and over, is more than I have found at even the best machine shops.  Nothing less than perfect was ever acceptable. It is nothing that I have ever seen in my 60 years in the automotive industry. Yet, this guy does not do this for a living. It is his passion. Every engine fires right up within 2 turns and never has an issue. He knows all the latest  technology in assembly techniques. I had him build my 455 Olds engine because I knew he was qualified and I knew it would be right and I would not hesitate to have him build another one for me....

...."Eddie, I must thank you for bringing back to life, my old GTX once again. The 426 Hemi engine that you sold to myself, was way beyond a crate motor I could have ordered from Mopar. The extras you put into this engine would have cost myself $$$. I have just entered a car show in my area and the talk was, "where did you find that Hemi"? Of coarse I said, "It was built by Mr Eddie Haines himself". When the show was ending, the people around my car, ready and waiting for myself to start it up was, Huge. All they wanted was to hear this Hemi engine run. Thanks to Eddie and his great knowledge of Hemi engines, my dream came true and when people around my 68X were shocked to here that crisp sounding GTX sound so good. THANKS EDDIE, MY DREAM CAME TRUE"....

Classic HEMI and WEDGE Engines For Sale

Looking to restore a WEDGE Engine or HEMI engine for one of the popular MOPAR cars during the 1950's through 1970's? You've found the right man for the job. Give Eddie a call to discuss your restoration or repair project. For over 25 years, Eddie has been excited about restoring the original beauty and performance of HEMI engines and American Muscle Cars. The HEMI engine was popular in production cars during the 50's and early 70's in cars and also in racing as one of the fastest engines on the market. Manufacturers such as Chrysler (FirePower Engine), DeSoto (FireDome Engine), Dodge (Red Ram Engine), and Plymouth were in aggressive competition during what is often called the "Horsepower Wars". The Chryster 426 HEMI Engine was so fast in 1964 that in 1965 it was banned from NASCAR races. HEMI Engines have a hemispherical combustion chamber that was great for efficient airflow and torque. The name HEMI has become synonymous with BIG and POWERFUL and these types of engines helped to shape the state of the art in racing and street cars during their time on the market.
